Philips Exeter Academy directly resembles the school Devon in A Separate Peace. The speakers description of the school perfectly fits Philips Exeter. The old brick buildings, the river, the boathouse, and the chapel are all things that can be found on the campus. 

Just like at Devon, the town is based around the school.

The chapel where the boys where told about the war and volunteer opportunities that they could partake in.

The river where we guessed the tree would have been. It fit the description of the area that it could have been: in back of the campus past the athletic fields. 

The swimming pool where Finny broke the school record without any practice.
